Softball Recap: Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs vs. Fort Zumwalt East Lions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Timberland, Fort Zumwalt South was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Fort Zumwalt East Lions. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Ashtyn Duran and Brooklyn Chapman did most of the damage at the plate: Duran went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Chapman went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two hits gave Chapman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Daniels, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fort Zumwalt South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
