Softball Recap: South Winneshiek Comes Up Short

South Winneshiek fell victim to Sumner-Fredericksburg and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 17-0 to the Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

South Winneshiek now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Coming up, South Winneshiek will welcome Clayton-Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sumner-Fredericksburg, they are taking a road trip to take on Turkey Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
