Baseball Recap: North Branch Vikings vs. North Polars
The North Branch Vikings didn't have quite enough to beat the North Polars on Monday and fell 5-4.
Ben Herges put in work no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Spencer Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
North Branch has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for North, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-18.
North Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North, they will face off against Central Minnesota Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
