Baseball Recap: Pike's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Pike can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They never let the Speedway Sparkplugs get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Stiven Henriquez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pike is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Joe Williams, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pike's win bumped their record up to 8-10-1. As for Speedway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.
