Baseball Recap: Alcovy Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Alcovy's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Clarke Central Gladiators on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Friday.

Alcovy dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Clarke Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alcovy will face off against Winder-Barrow at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Winder-Barrow will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Alcovy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clarke Central, they will square off against Cedar Shoals at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar Shoals has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.09 runs per game on average), something Clarke Central will no doubt try to take advantage of.
