Baseball Recap: Mohawk Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Mohawk nor Hopewell-Loudon made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 6-5. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chieftains apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Mohawk has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mohawk will head out to challenge Pleasant at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they will take on Lakota at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
