Soccer Recap: Walton Comes Up Short

Walton lost against Harrison back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walton Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Hoyas. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Hoyas are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Walton and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Harrison, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will host Cherokee at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Harrison, they will challenge Dunwoody at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison is facing Dunwoody at the right time seeing as Dunwoody is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
