Soccer Recap: Winfield-Mt. Union Victorious

In Monday's Canine Competition, Winfield-Mt. Union prevailed. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Highland Huskies on Monday. That's two games straight that Winfield-Mt. Union have won by just one goal.

The victory made it two in a row for Winfield-Mt. Union and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.

Winfield-Mt. Union didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 loss against Tipton on the 15th. As for Highland, they will head out to challenge Sigourney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland will be up against Sigourney's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.6 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
