The Statesboro Blue Devils will venture away from home to  challenge the Effingham County Rebels  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Statesboro knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Effingham County likes a good challenge.
Effingham County's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them  on Monday: Statesboro hadn't allowed a single  run the last three times they've hit the field. The Blue Devils never let Bradwell Institute get on the board and left with  a   17-0  win  on Thursday.
 Madison Holmes was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Chloe Larson, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  home run department: Statesboro  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile, Effingham County won against Evans  on Thursday with seven  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  victory over Jeff Davis. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Statesboro's record now sits at 7-15. As for Effingham County, their record is now 18-6.
 Statesboro might still be hurting after the  10-3 defeat they got from Effingham County  in their previous matchup  on September 4th. Can the Blue Devils avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
