Softball Recap: Plainview Victorious

The Plainview Indians beat the Coweta Tigers 6-2 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Leah Long looked comfortable as she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Maci Caldwell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Wood, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Plainview's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Coweta, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainview will challenge Eufaula at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Coweta, they will host Pryor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
