Pierce County waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South Atlanta Hornets an 18-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Pierce County's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for South Atlanta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-3-1.

Coming up, Pierce County will welcome Crisp County at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games. South Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
