Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Village Christian's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Village Christian had won two straight games and Madison Mulligan did her part to make it three on Friday. The Village Christian Crusaders enjoyed a cozy 58-41 victory over the Valley Christian Defenders thanks in part to Mulligan, who went 6 for 15 en route to 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Sophia Santos was another key player, putting up nine points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Village Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Valley Christian, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Village Christian beat Valley Christian by a score of 75-30 on Saturday.
