Patrick Henry lost to El Cajon Valley back in December of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Patrick Henry Patriots came out on top against the El Cajon Valley Braves by a score of 56-49. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots who have now won three contests in a row.

Ally Mangahis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Nears, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

El Cajon Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asia Marie Dixon, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. Dixon also grabbed six steals, which is notable because El Cajon Valley is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was McKinley Morgan, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals.

Patrick Henry has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for El Cajon Valley, they moved to 8-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

When Patrick Henry and El Cajon Valley next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Patrick Henry will try to stop Christian's five-game winning streak when the meet at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
