Basketball Recap: Immaculate Conception Takes a Loss

Immaculate Conception was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-16 defeat at the hands of the Marshall Phoenix. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Phoenix apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Immaculate Conception's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Immaculate Conception and Sequoia will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Marshall, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sterne at 5:15 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
