Recap: Downey Knights vs. Ripon Indians
The Downey Knights lost against the Ripon Indians back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Downey took a 38-22 bruising from Ripon. Downey has struggled against Ripon recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Downey saw an underclassman step up: Nathalia Soto, scored 8 points along with 3 steals. Soto, is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played.
Downey's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ripon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Downey will be playing in front of their home fans against Ceres at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ripon, they will head out on the road to face off against Gregori at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
