After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Tift County finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Schley County Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Tift County's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Schley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
