Soccer Game Preview: Central Valley Christian vs. Kingsburg

Central Valley Christian is 1-8-1 against Kingsburg since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers will take on the Kingsburg Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central Valley Christian's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Reedley. The result kept the Cavaliers happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 11th.

Emerson Kroeze and Ava Gambini scored both of Central Valley Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Kingsburg hasn't lost a match since January 9th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Washington Union. Caitlyn Essegian had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Vikings got from the refs.

Kingsburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Central Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-7.
