Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Holy Family walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Frederick Golden Eagles on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jaelyn Sandoval was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Graci Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Holy Family hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.
Holy Family has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. As for Frederick, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-8.
Holy Family has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Palmer Ridge on the 25th. Frederick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
