Basketball Game Preview: Ontario Christian Knights vs. Claremont Wolfpack

The Ontario Christian Knights will take on the Claremont Wolfpack in a tournament on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Claremont is hoping to do what Grand Terrace couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Ontario Christian's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Ontario Christian breezed by Grand Terrace to the tune of 101-20. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Ontario Christian relied on the efforts of Dani Robinson, who posted nine points in addition to eight assists and six steals, and Jaden Cox, who scored 11 points and five rebounds. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

Meanwhile, Claremont waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They secured a 56-51 W over the Huskies.

Claremont's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Ontario Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.

Ontario Christian strolled past Claremont in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 56-37. Will Ontario Christian repeat their success, or does Claremont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
