Hawkins had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Diego Rivera Huskies by a score of 40-29 on Wednesday. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 44-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hawkins has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.9 points over those games. Diego Rivera moved to 15-7 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Coming up, Hawkins will square off against Northridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northridge Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Hawkins surely won't give up without a fight. Diego Rivera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
