Soccer Recap: Stevenson Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Stevenson hasn't lost a match since January 14th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Greenfield Bruins a 1-0 shutout. Emma Travis had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Pirates.

Stevenson's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Greenfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Stevenson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Rancho San Juan on the 22nd. Greenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
