Providence Catholic posted their closest win since April 29th on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Lincoln-Way Central Knights. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Providence Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they now have a losing record of 14-15.

Looking ahead, Providence Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Patrick at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Lincoln-Way West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
