Soccer Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

Willows lost against Oroville last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Willows Honkers fell just short of the Oroville Tigers by a score of 1-0.

Willows has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-2 record this season. As for Oroville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Willows will be home for the holidays to greet Live Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oroville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pierce at 3:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Oroville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
