Volleyball Game Preview: Gateway Panthers vs. Tohopekaliga Tigers + How To Watch

The Gateway Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Tohopekaliga Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway will be strutting in after a win while Tohopekaliga will be coming in after a defeat.

Gateway took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Colonial 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gateway took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-4, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Tohopekaliga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Innovation, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-14.

Tohopekaliga's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Gateway, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Gateway beat Tohopekaliga 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
