Baseball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

The Preston Knights came up short against the Jefferson Cougars on Tuesday, falling 8-2.

Bryson McNew made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Preston has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Jefferson, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6.

Preston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, they will take on Washington at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
