Baseball Game Preview: Wheeler Wildcats vs. Marietta Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Wheeler will face off against Marietta. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 7.

Last Tuesday, Wheeler came up short against Marietta and fell 7-4.

Vaden McCarty made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Chase Greenwood was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Marietta and bumps their season record up to 10-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
