Soccer Game Preview: Upland vs. Etiwanda

Upland hasn't had much luck against Etiwanda recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Highlanders/Scots will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Upland fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Los Osos on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Upland came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Los Osos are ranked 429th).

Meanwhile, Etiwanda had just enough and edged out Rancho Cucamonga 3-2 on Thursday. That's two games straight that Etiwanda have won by just one goal.

Upland's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Etiwanda, their record is now 11-0.

Upland might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Etiwanda in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Highlanders/Scots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
