It's playoff time, and Erie had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Horizon Hawks 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Sophee Horovitz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Erie saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Fetters, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Erie's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.

Erie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Eaglecrest on the 24th. Horizon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
