Basketball Recap: San Mateo Piles Up the Points Against Burton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Mateo). They breezed by the Burton Pumas to the tune of 59-16 on Monday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bearcats had established a 31 point advantage.

San Mateo moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Burton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Mateo Bearcats take on the Galileo Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galileo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something San Mateo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
