Soccer Game Preview: Pepperell vs. Cedartown

Pepperell is 0-5 against Cedartown since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

Pepperell is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adairsville.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Cedartown brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They put the hurt on Mt. Zion with a sharp 10-0 win on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Cedartown's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Mt. Zion are ranked 404th).

Pepperell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Cedartown, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Pepperell couldn't quite get it done against Cedartown when the teams last played back in February of 2017 as they fell 2-0. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
