Baseball Game Preview: Brookstone Cougars vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

For the second straight game, Brookstone will face off against Strong Rock Christian. The Cougars will welcome the Patriots at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Brookstone has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Brookstone sidestepped Strong Rock Christian for a 5-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Brookstone saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Neal, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Mercer Hudson was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Strong Rock Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Brookstone, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
