Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland fell victim to Ola and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 11-0 to the Mustangs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wolfpack haven't been shut out since back in March.

Woodland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damian Gibson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Gibson has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodland and nudges their season record down to 6-18. As for Ola, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1.

Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ola, they will head out on the road to square off against Pike County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
