Basketball Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Crenshaw Cougars

The Carson Colts will challenge the Crenshaw Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Carson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Carson will bounce into Monday's game after beating San Pedro, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Carson's way against San Pedro on Friday as Carson made off with a 56-35 win. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Crenshaw played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 65-36 defeat at the hands of King/Drew. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Carson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Crenshaw, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-7.

Carson was dealt a bruising 91-22 defeat at the hands of Crenshaw in their previous matchup back in May of 2021. Can Carson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
