Softball Recap: Blue Springs Takes a Loss

Blue Springs had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-8 to make it six. They fell just short of the Blue Springs South Jaguars by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by just one run.

Blue Springs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keileen Burt, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Blue Springs South, their record now sits at 15-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Blue Springs since October 13, 2022.

On Blue Springs South's side, Kyndall Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Ella Carmack was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Waters, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Blue Springs will challenge Staley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blue Springs South, they will face off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
