On Friday, the stars were shining brightly for the Beckman Patriots in a 47-31 victory over the Glendora Tartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

When it comes to explaining why Glendora lost, don't look at Ronnie Herrmann. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Herrmann is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Morgan, who posted three points.

Beckman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Glendora, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Beckman and Glendora could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Beckman (ranked 121st) will meet La Jolla Country Day (ranked 23rd) at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Glendora (ranked 132nd) will meet Sierra Canyon (ranked seventh) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
