Football Game Preview: Browne Bruins vs. Central Bobcats + Official Tickets

The Browne Bruins will head out to square off against the Central Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Browne comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Browne is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Camelback on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bruins were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The Bruins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Despite their defeat, Browne saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Frankie Hernandez, who rushed for 115 yards and one TD, was perhaps the best of all. Hernandez got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards. Sameer Sabur also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Central faced off against South Mountain on Thursday. The Bobcats walked away with a 21-14 win over the Jaguars. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Browne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Browne came up short against Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
