Soccer Game Preview: Burlingame vs. Cardinal Newman

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Burlingame face off against the Cardinal Newman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Burlingame's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Burlingame turned things around against Homestead on Saturday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Panthers' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Newman's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Piedmont by a score of 2-1.

Burlingame's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-1. As for Cardinal Newman, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
