Recap: Temecula Prep Patriots vs. San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves
The Temecula Prep Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past San Jacinto Valley Academy 54-32. This was payback for Temecula Prep, who suffered a 58-19 loss the last time these two teams met.
Temecula Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zylah Coleman out in front who scored 23 points. The match was Coleman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Abby Bennett was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Temecula Prep's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-7. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-6 record last season and are now at 3-11.
Temecula Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Nuview Bridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against California Military Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. California Military Institute comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
