Basketball Game Preview: Fairview Tigers vs. Harbor Creek Huskies

The Fairview Tigers will face off against the Harbor Creek Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fairview's defense has only allowed 25.6 points per game this season, so Harbor Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Harbor Creek will be up against a hot Fairview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Fairview walked away with a 30-20 win over Corry on Thursday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Beavers are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Harbor Creek hadn't done well against Kennedy Catholic recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Harbor Creek managed a 55-50 victory over Kennedy Catholic.

Fairview pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points over those games. As for Harbor Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Fairview was able to grind out a solid victory over Harbor Creek when the teams last played back in January, winning 39-31. Will Fairview repeat their success, or does Harbor Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
