Cambridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mill Creek Hawks 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cambridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Mill Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Cambridge and Mill Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Bears will square off against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (18 vs. 199). Meanwhile, Mill Creek (ranked 30th) will meet Collins Hill (ranked 155th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
