Baseball Game Preview: Eagle's Landing Eagles vs. Hampton Hornets

The Eagle's Landing Eagles will head out to take on the Hampton Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Eagle's Landing is looking for their season's first win.

Friday just wasn't the day for Eagle's Landing's offense. They lost 6-0 to Woodland on Friday.

Caden Abrams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

Meanwhile, Hampton had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over The Grace Christian Academy on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since March 19th.

Hampton's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Eagle's Landing, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-20.

Eagle's Landing couldn't quite get it done against Hampton when the teams last played back in March of 2022 as they fell 12-8. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
