Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Rio Americano Raiders

The El Camino Eagles waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Rio Americano 51-25. That result was just more of the same for these two, as El Camino also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Noelle Potratz was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Potratz is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Calista Wold was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Rio Americano saw an underclassman step up: Zena Paraskevas scored nine points.

El Camino has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Rio Americano, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Camino will take on Vista del Lago at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Vista del Lago knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully El Camino likes a good challenge. As for Rio Americano, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacramento at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
