Soccer Recap: Johnson Triumphs

Johnson took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against St. Andrew, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Johnson Atomsmashers beat the St. Andrew's Lions by a goal, winning 2-1. The Atomsmashers' winning goal came courtesy of Mickael Wisaela.

Johnson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for St. Andrew's and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will square off against Liberty County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Andrew's, they will challenge Savannah Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Savannah Country Day will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Andrew's surely won't give up without a fight.
