Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Warriors vs. West Campus Warriors

Johnson hasn't had much luck against West Campus recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Johnson Warriors will square off against the West Campus Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Johnson came up short against Valley and fell 36-25. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, West Campus came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Titans 53-27. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Titans are ranked 916th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Campus pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Johnson was dealt a bruising 81-10 loss at the hands of West Campus in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can Johnson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
