Basketball Recap: Catalina Takes a Loss

Catalina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 51-31 to the Willcox Cowboys. The Trojans lost against the Cowboys in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 58-14 score last time.

Catalina's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Willcox, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Catalina will challenge Globe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Willcox, they will face off against Sahuarita at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cowboys will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
