Softball Recap: Chariton's Winning Streak Snapped at Nine Games

It was a good run, but Chariton unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Davis County Mustangs by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chargers have suffered since June 7th.

Chariton's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Davis County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Chariton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Albia on the 1st. As for Davis County, they have also already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on the 1st.
