Softball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

Durango lost against Grand Junction on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Demons came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-4. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avery Clair was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Another player making a difference was Alexis Wood, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Durango's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Grand Junction, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Durango will challenge Montezuma-Cortez at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Grand Junction, they will face off against Montrose at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
