Andover extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They strolled past the Andover Central Jaguars with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Jaguars on their field since September 23, 2016.

Pete Vega had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 141 yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 130 rushing yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Andover proved: they limited Andover Central to a paltry 2.9 yards per carry. The Trojans' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.9.

As for Andover Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.3 points over those games.
