Soccer Recap: Porterville Has No Trouble Against Mt. Whitney

After failing to score in their last contest, Porterville made sure to put some goals up on the board against Mt. Whitney on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Whitney Pioneers as they made off with a 5-0 victory. Considering the Panthers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Porterville moved to 9-8-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mt. Whitney, they dropped their record down to 3-17-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Porterville will venture away from home to square off against Monache at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Whitney, they will welcome Redwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Redwood will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Mt. Whitney surely won't give up without a fight.
