Preview: McGregor vs. Cromwell

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Cromwell. They will challenge McGregor on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. McGregor will need to watch out since Cromwell have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.

Cromwell put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They made easy work of Ogilvie and carried off a 46-20 win. No one put up better numbers for Cromwell than senior Cameron Cahoon, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 148 yards on the ground and caught passes for 82 yards. In fact, with 12 tackles Cahoon was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, if McGregor were riding high off their 38-12 takedown of Onamia two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. McGregor ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-42 walloping at Littlefork-Big Falls's hands.

Cromwell's victory lifted them to 3-0 while McGregor's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if Cromwell's success rolls on or if McGregor are able to steal their positive momentum.
